Day 3

Today was a sad day for us.....the runt...teal female died.  She had something wrong with her legs and failure to thrive. The vet thinks that something was wrong with her and nature took its course.  It was a hard pill to swallow and tough for the kids but we know that it was best for her.  She was a sweet little thing!

On a good note....Wrangler got to meet his children.  Don't tell Scarlett because we snuck him in while she was on a bathroom break!

I think he was proud!

Puppies Day 2

Today was a busy day!  We put ribbons on each puppy and weighed them.

This is light blue male (SOLD)  He weighs 1.3 lbs.  I love the dot on his head!  His name is Winston!

This is hot pink female.  She weighs 15.4 oz. She looks like she has on shorts and is so sweet!

 This is purple female.  She weighs 1.3 lbs. She is a chunk and loves to cuddle!

This is green male.  He weighs 1.0 lb.  He has mostly black markings and is the mouth of the bunch!

This is yellow male.  He is a bruiser weighing in at 1.2 lbs.  Definitely a happy snuggler!

This is orange male.  He weighs 14.8 oz.  He is the quiet one and lays low!

This is red female (SOLD).  She weighs 15.1 oz and is definitely the unique one of the bunch!  Her name is Penny!

Meet the Parents!

Scarlett is 2 years old.  She lives with her owners and 3 children.  She also has 2 other fur dog friends.  Scarlett is AKC registered and is rotten to the core.  She likes to play and has a very sweet personality.  She is also VERY dramatic and moans a lot!!  She has been such a great mom to her first litter of pups!

Wrangler is 1 year old.  He is WILD!!!  He lives with his owner and gets so excited when people come to visit him.  Wrangler is CKC registered (we are hoping to get AKC papers soon).  He stays in trouble but loves to snuggle on his owners neck and is able to redeem himself from his bad behavior when he is sweet.  Wrangler is very spoiled and loves to have howling and singing contests with his owner!

 

Wrangler and Scarlett have grown up together because their owners are related (but the dogs are not!!!) We have lots of pictures of them.  Here are a few of them together a few months ago.  You can see the markings on both.  They are beautiful Bassett Hounds!

On June 26, 2016 Scarlett and Wrangler became the proud parents of 8 beautiful Bassett Hounds. There were 4 males and 4 females.  This blog is to keep everyone up to date on the beautiful babies as they grow!!
